Hi all,
In planet.fedoraproject.org you can find one blog entry as "Fedora
India". From the blog I can find his (may be he is in this list) name
is Kulbir Saini. That site http://fedora.co.in is also using Fedora
Logo. This may give false impression to the world that those are the
words from Fedora India team. Also the site contains Google ads.
Again in the site, there is a declaimer
"Copyright (c) 2008 Kulbir Saini. I am not related to Red Hat or
Fedora Project. The content on this site is my own views. "
I think we should not allow someone to use the name and logo like this.

On a hunch that a few fine folks would have missed this :)

Hey All,
I'm sorry I missed the marketing meeting earlier today, but I was told
that there was discussion of recruiting students to help out with Fedora
and Fedora marketing efforts. I have been working for the past couple
of weeks to put together something modeled after the ambassadors which I
tentatively call "Campus Ambassadors". The mission of the campus
ambassadors is something similar to what Mozilla does with the Firefox
Campus Rep program--to have someone who can speak to the student body
about Fedora and represent Fedora at relevant campus events.
Also, I am looking to require campus ambassadors to hold one info
session or tech talk type thing per semester to make sure that there is
constant action and interest in Fedora.
There will be a community architecture team meeting in Raleigh next week
at which I would like to present the final plan for this and officially
launch. I have already been in contact with a number of students from
various universities (Berkeley, Oswego, CMU, Auburn, Texas A&M) and so
far there is interest.
Just thought I would kick the idea out to the list and see what people
had to say. My plan is to put up a wiki page for this tomorrow or over
the weekend, so that it can be presented next week.
Thanks,
Jack

1] are all the packages that you propose to be in the spin available
through Fedora Package System ?
2] if the answer to 1] above is no, do you have a list of packages that
you wish were in Fedora ?
3] moving on from 2], do you have a kickstart file ready that can be
used to come up with a spin ?

Now you are talking
this is what i was talking about to work together
and Dhananjay and i are talking about LUG so seriously because that is
the very first place where we need to target and under that we can do
a ot of things
also i dont think you know about how LUG was formed, it was really
hard for Lug to be formed in Manipal coz of so much restrictions but
still it was formed in November last year, meet me some time and i
will tell you the whole story and will discuss what all we can do

Guys, remember that you are sending these mail to an all india-list.
So everyone is watching you. :)
So what outside people will generally comment is that the LUG at manipal
is torn apart by internal conflicts and their prospect to do anything
good is very low.
Will that enhance your reputation ?
Be a bit patient, sort out the differences between yourselves
internally and work together, there is no point quarrelling, there are
so much good works to do!!!
Thanks.
