Bug ID: 1667039
Summary: Random dependency of fonts by libreoffice-langpack-*
Product: Fedora
Version: rawhide
Status: NEW
Component: libreoffice
Keywords: i18n
Assignee: caolanm(a)redhat.com
Reporter: tagoh(a)redhat.com
QA Contact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: caolanm(a)redhat.com, dtardon(a)redhat.com,

Target Milestone: ---
Classification: Fedora
Description of problem:
Having lines of "Requires: font(:lang=...)" causes a font package installed
randomly and unpredictable. this doesn't necessarily provide better result.
So those lines should be replaced by real font packages or langpacks-* to get
fonts installed.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
libreoffice-6.1.4.2-1.fc30

Summary: default to en_SG for Singapore
Product: Fedora
Version: 30
Status: NEW
Component: langtable
Assignee: mfabian(a)redhat.com
Reporter: petersen(a)redhat.com
QA Contact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: i18n-bugs(a)lists.fedoraproject.org, mfabian(a)redhat.com
Target Milestone: ---
Classification: Fedora
Description of problem:
I think it makes more sense to default to en_SG for Singapore
- we don't really have en_SG translations in Fedora anyway.
Also probably default SG keyboard could just be US
(given that CN = US anyway).
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
langtable-0.0.41-2.fc30
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Fedora in Singapore
Actual results:
Default to zh_SG
Expected results:
English since zh_SG is not translated and no easy fallback even to zh_CN.
Additional info:
(Also dunno why anaconda lists cmn_TW.utf8: it really should not)

--- Comment #9 from Mike FABIAN <mfabian(a)redhat.com> ---
Yes, the python2-langtable package has been removed. It is not needed anymore,
anaconda uses python3-langtable.

Target Milestone: ---
Classification: Fedora
As per [1] discussion started around splitting smc-fonts package.
smc-kalyani-fonts was part of it and upstream has agreed to remove
smc-kalyani-fonts[2] from Fedora.
Would request to remove this package from Fedora.
Also if possible can this package be removed from Fedora-29 as well.
