Hi, folks,
I am a formal maintainer of the minetest package in Fedora (in reality
Gwyn Ciesla is doing all the work on it :) ) and I have been lurking on
this list for some time.
A couple of years[1] ago I set up the mine.fedorainfracloud.org server
to play Minetest/Luanti with fellow Fedora community members. While we
haven't taken over the gaming world with it yet, the server is alive and
functioning well. Everyone is welcome to join - come visit us on Matrix[2]
Now, because of the Pagure migration I realized that I need a new home
for the https://pagure.io/fedora-mine repository which hosts the server
configuration.
Therefore, the question:
What do you think of bringing the Mine-with-Fedora group under the
Fedora Games SIG umbrella?
Practically speaking it would mean bringing the repo to the Games SIG
org[3] in the Forge and giving the server admins the permissions to
configure the repo and the CI for it, probably via some separate
fedora-games-mine FAS group.
Then we can discuss other actions - sharing access, server
adjustments,.. if there is an interest. Or can just keep it running as
it is now.
I can work with Fedora Infra to make it happen, but I want to know if
there are thoughts, concerns, objections and/or other ideas before that.
