I'll give it try. Not that I want or suggest module way, actually.. if
centos/redhat collect any feedback on it, then I'd say - my guess, as
I hear many are not happy of those - perhaps keep it as it is now, in
default repo.
RHEL 9 beta is out today and it has IPA there as it will be in RHEL 9.0
GA -- not in a module. Modules will be added but they will have no IPA
packages. Instead, they'll have profiles so that
dnf module install idm:DL1/{dns,adtrust}
would be an equivalent to
dnf install ipa-server-dns ipa-server-trust-ad
This allows us to have the same documentation for RHEL 8 and RHEL 9
while both variants of install would be working at the same time as
well.
