Bastien,
we need to add a glob for *.otf to the font mime type too, since the current
agreed-on matching algorithm only looks at magic to disambiguate if there is a
glob conflict.
I tested locally that adding the glob makes otf fonts show up correctly in
nautilus.

> Can you please check whether it will work or not?
1. Unless saab is derived from lohit punjabi and they have the same look and
metrics I'd really not include
<alias binding="same">
<family>Lohit Punjabi</family>
<accept>
<family>Saab</family>
</accept>
</alias>
2. The 90 priority is safe, but very conservative. I'd discuss with the Lohit
people and i18n if Saab could not be bumped a little.
3. Please cc the fonts list on fonts review so the right people get cc-ed
4. Please also check you didn't miss any step in

[Issue 79878] OO.o can not select modern font faces conveniently

------- Additional comments from sergiozambrano(a)openoffice.org Sat Jun 6 14:41:05 +0000 2009 -------
After MANY tests editing all the font names below for a custom font, it seems
OOo doesn't handle more than 4 styles, even when shown in typeface list.
Regular
Demi
Bold
Condensed
Condensed Bold
When you remove some, others work. When you get the names showing up, fonts over
4 look the same. Bottom line: only 4 typefaces work properly and the rest are
duplicated in name or shape.

[Bug 347237] Making Pango use a given cairo_font_face_t

------- Comment #17 from Jeffrey Stedfast 2009-06-05 20:03 UTC -------
Unfortunately with Silverlight 2.0, Moonlight now has more requirements in this
area :-(
Firstly (and most importantly), Silverlight 2 allows you to specify a list of
font families that the text renderer needs to use to find a font that will
render each glyph.
For example, a developer might specify in XAML: FontFamily="Georgia, Arial"
In this scenario, the text renderer should use Georgia to render any glyphs
that are available in that font, but fallback to using Arial for anything
Georgia lacks (like ♥♦♪♫ and such).
Currently PangoFontDescription does handle this if it is using the FontConfig
backend (from what I understand), so some logic is already there for this font
fallback, but we'll need it to work for a cairo_font_face_t backend as well.
