My Name is Abrar. I am a Computer Science Engineering Undergrad at APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. I enjoy working on computer vision, data science projects, and recently I became an executive committee member of our Campus FOSS club which is associated with ICFOSS ( https://icfoss.in). I am a big fan of Fedora and open source in general. I am looking forward to learning, collaborating and and growing with the people at the fedora. Thank you.

ICFOSS looks like a great initiative! Could you also please subscribe to the Fedora India channels if you haven't already? Folks there would be really interested in hearing about it at the next regular meeting: https://pagure.io/fedora-india/Fedora-India
There's a lot going on in Fedora, so I'd start by going through the initial information in the Welcome to Fedora ticket we've filed for you. Please use that (or any community channel at all really) to speak to the community---whether it's just general chat or related to the community/tasks/queries.
Hey Ankur and Abrar,
I had the opportunity to take a look at ICFOSS and I think that with Abrar's help, we might be able to put our community forward and be known a lot more in the Indian subcontinent.
Of course, this discussion is more suited to be had in the fedora-india mailing list, but I just wanted to put that forth before I end up forgetting it. What do you folks think? :)

Hey Akash, I think it's a great idea and I'd love to be of help. I haven't met many Fedora users in India and I think it's primarily because of general unawareness of this awesome distro. Most of my peers didn't about the existence of fedora until they saw me using it as a daily driver. I'm looking forward to the ideas we come with and I'd like to be of any help to help in making the fedora community to be more known than it is.
Thanks and Regards Abrar A Wali

Can you start a thread on the India mailing list?
We had quite a strong community in India in the past. We even organised a FUDCon :)

Volunteer communities have their ebbs and flows---if a sizeable number of folks get busy with other things, the community slows down a bit. But all it really needs is more folks to join in and make it active again :)
