Hello everyone
I am Praveen Patil from India. I am a physics teacher and free

Hi Praveen,
I am working with a project ExpEYES as a volunteer and have been
involved in FOSS training programs for science teachers.
I just looked at the website. ExpEYES looks really interesting. It isn't
my area of expertise, but would the software you're using would fit into
Fedora Electronic Lab or an education spin? You can even have a Fedora
ExpEYES spin actually. Take a look at the proposal process if you'd want
to work on a spin. You'd first need to package the software up and make
it available in the Fedora repositories before you can propose a spin,
though:

Using Free Software and ExpEYES for classroom and laboratory
demonstrations for 11th and 12 grade.
Maintaining a blog for ExpEYES. Working e-content developer for
National Repository of Open Educational Resources (NROER) for School
Education by Central Institute of Education Technology (CIET), NCERT,
New Delhi.
For ExpEYES project I have been preparing Ubuntu based live cds with
science packages for teachers and students and have been distributing
the same.
Recently I met many volunteers and ambassadors from fedora at
FOSSASIA-2014 and got inspired with fedora culture and spirit. I am
now using fedora and have also created Live cd for distributing it
with ExpEYES. I am conducting free-software awareness programs for
science students and teachers in my region.
That's really great to hear. If you'd like any help from the ambassadors
team, please let us know. Ambassadors near you can come down and help
you organise your workshops. You can also request funds from the budget
to get Fedora CDs/DVDs burnt in large quantities, as well as to buy swag
(stickers/posters) for your events.
I wish to be an active volunteer of fedora and contribute positively
to FOSS. I also wish to contribute to fedora planet and the magazine.
Awesome! You can always write education related posts on the magazine
too. It'll be easier for users to install the software if it's available
in the Fedora repositories. It might be slightly incoherent for a post
on the fedora magazine to ask folks to install debian ;) If you need any
help with this, drop me an email, or find me on the IRC. I'm already a
package maintainer and can help you with your spec files/reviews and the
rest. We could even get together folks and have an IRC FAD (Fedora
Activity Day) for this!
If you can, it'll be nice to drop in one of the APAC IRC meetings that
occur on alternate Saturdays and get to know the folks.
