Hello,
I'm interested in contributing to Fedora and would like to introduce
myself. My name is Youssef. My Fedora account username is humanamerican
and my Matrix username is @eusseph:matrix.org. I started using Linux in
college and by now am a Fedora daily driver. I have experience in Linux
sys admin, technical documentation writing, and software development.
Other interests include space, history, urbanism, buffalo wings, and
craft beer. I also have plenty of experience volunteering for
non-profits and currently serve on the board of an organization in my
neighborhood.
I love FOSS and always try to find FOSS solutions before using
proprietary software. However, aside from helping people out in forums,
I have yet to contribute to a FOSS project. Being that I use Fedora
every day, I figured it would be a good place to start. I'm always down
to learn something new so I think I could contribute pretty much
anywhere that more hands are needed, with the exception of graphic
design (unless you want lots of stick figures).
I'd like to contribute about 5 hours a week to start and see where that
takes me.
Thanks for reading my intro. I welcome all suggestions for a good "first
contribution" to get my feet wet.
Best,
Youssef
