Hi, I’m Martin from Argentina.
For a long time, I’ve been thinking about contributing to a FOSS project,
and I believe the Fedora community might be the right place to start, as
Fedora is a big part of my daily workflow.
My interest in Linux and open source began in 2018, when I switched to
Linux as a full-time user.
A few years later, I started working as a software developer for a little
over a year and a half. Currently, I have been working as a full-time
sysadmin for over a year. I have been using Fedora as my main workstation
and personal computer OS since Fedora 37.
Most of my development experience is related to web technologies (C#,
ReactJS). On the sysadmin side, I’ve worked with different distributions,
mainly Debian and CentOS, handling setup, deployment, and tuning. I also
have experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, and Loki.
Additionally, I’m familiar with some AWS services (IAM policies, EC2,
snapshots, etc.), networking,OpenStack (only lab and testing using manual
deployment), docker, DB engines, etc.
Since transitioning to a sysadmin role, I’ve been somewhat distanced from
software development. One of my goals is to reconnect with development and
contribute to open-source projects. I’d also like to start exploring
low-level development.
Nice to meet you all!
