Hello Fedora community,
my name is Lars Seif and I decided to join the Fedora community.
I just finished my bachelor thesis in computer science and was looking for an opportunity to get experience how things work in the real-world.
I'm using Linux for several years now and Fedora for roughly a year and really like it. I'm looking forward to supporting it by contributing.
I don't have much experience with FOSS. I worked in my bachelor thesis on an open source project, but I had my own git branch and did not get in touch with other contributors through issues, pull requests, etc.
Skills:
I have basic git knowledge and worked with different programming languages: Java, C/C++, Scala, MatLab, Haskell.
I'm happy to learn new skills if a task requires them.
I am subscribed to mailing lists of my university and used multiple real time chat platforms without having a favorite.
The next couple of weeks I have much free time as I don't have a job yet. It's hard to predict how motivated I'll be, but I aim to spend at least two hours a day on volunteering.
Can't wait to get to know all of you!
Best regards,
Lars Seif
