The library is written in C and is callable from either C or Fortran program. It uses MPI, OpenMP and CUDA to support various forms of parallelism. It supports both real and complex datatypes, both single and double precision, and 64-bit integer indexing. The library routines performs an LU decomposition with partial pivoting and triangular system solves through forward and back substitution. The LU factorization routines can handle non-square matrices but the triangular solves are performed only for square matrices. The matrix columns may be preordered (before factorization) either through library or user supplied routines. This preordering for sparsity is completely separate from the factorization. Working precision iterative refinement subroutines are provided for improved backward stability. Routines are also provided to equilibrate the system, estimate the condition number, calculate the relative backward error, and estimate error bounds for the refined solutions. PCRE2 is written in C, and it has its own API. There are three sets of functions, one for the 8-bit library, which processes strings of bytes, one for the 16-bit library, which processes strings of 16-bit values, and one for the 32-bit library, which processes strings of 32-bit values. There are no C++ wrappers. The distribution does contain a set of C wrapper functions for the 8-bit library that are based on the POSIX regular expression API (see the pcre2posix man page). These can be found in a library called libpcre2posix. Note that this just provides a POSIX calling interface to PCRE2; the regular expressions themselves still follow Perl syntax and semantics. The POSIX API is restricted, and does not give full access to all of PCRE2's facilities. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: This release fixes a crash when finding a Unicode property for a character with a code point greater than 0x10ffff in UTF-32 library while UTF mode is disabled and JIT mode is enabled.
