The Extended root file server consists of a file server called xrootd
and a cluster management server called cmsd.
The xrootd server was developed for the root analysis framework to
serve root files. However, the server is agnostic to file types and
provides POSIX-like access to any type of file.
The cmsd server is the next generation version of the olbd server,
originally developed to cluster and load balance Objectivity/DB AMS
database servers. It provides enhanced capability along with lower
latency and increased throughput.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : pcre2
Product : Fedora EPEL 7
Version : 10.21
Release : 2.el7
URL : http://www.pcre.org/
Summary : Perl-compatible regular expression library
Description :
PCRE2 is a re-working of the original PCRE (Perl-compatible regular
expression) library to provide an entirely new API.
PCRE2 is written in C, and it has its own API. There are three sets of
functions, one for the 8-bit library, which processes strings of bytes, one
for the 16-bit library, which processes strings of 16-bit values, and one for
the 32-bit library, which processes strings of 32-bit values. There are no C++
wrappers.
The distribution does contain a set of C wrapper functions for the 8-bit
library that are based on the POSIX regular expression API (see the pcre2posix
man page). These can be found in a library called libpcre2posix. Note that
this just provides a POSIX calling interface to PCRE2; the regular expressions
themselves still follow Perl syntax and semantics. The POSIX API is
restricted, and does not give full access to all of PCRE2's facilities.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
This release fixes a workspace overflow for expressions with (*ACCEPT) with
deeply nested parentheses and it fixes pcretest for expressions with a callout
inside a look-behind assertion. It also corrects reporting of unmatched closing
parentheses.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This update can be installed with the "yum" update programs. Use
su -c 'yum update pcre2' at the command line.

available at https://docs.fedoraproject.org/yum/.

Name : octave
Product : Fedora EPEL 7
Version : 3.8.2
Release : 19.el7
URL : http://www.octave.org
Summary : A high-level language for numerical computations
Description :
GNU Octave is a high-level language, primarily intended for numerical
computations. It provides a convenient command line interface for
solving linear and nonlinear problems numerically, and for performing
other numerical experiments using a language that is mostly compatible
with Matlab. It may also be used as a batch-oriented language. Octave
has extensive tools for solving common numerical linear algebra
problems, finding the roots of nonlinear equations, integrating
ordinary functions, manipulating polynomials, and integrating ordinary
differential and differential-algebraic equations. It is easily
extensible and customizable via user-defined functions written in
Octave's own language, or using dynamically loaded modules written in
C++, C, Fortran, or other languages.
