Name : lyx
Product : Fedora EPEL 5
Version : 1.6.8
Release : 1.el5
URL : http://www.lyx.org/
Summary : WYSIWYM (What You See Is What You Mean) document processor
Description :
LyX is a modern approach to writing documents which breaks with the
obsolete "typewriter paradigm" of most other document preparation
systems.
It is designed for people who want professional quality output
with a minimum of time and effort, without becoming specialists in
typesetting.
The major innovation in LyX is WYSIWYM (What You See Is What You Mean).
That is, the author focuses on content, not on the details of formatting.
This allows for greater productivity, and leaves the final typesetting
to the backends (like LaTeX) that are specifically designed for the task.
With LyX, the author can concentrate on the contents of his writing,
and let the computer take care of the rest.

Name : pcc
Product : Fedora EPEL 5
Version : 0.9.9
Release : 0.4.101119cvs.el5
URL : http://pcc.ludd.ltu.se/
Summary : The Portable C Compiler
Description :
The compiler is based on the original Portable C Compiler by Stephen C.
Johnson, written in the late 70's. Even though much of the compiler has been
rewritten, some of the basics still remain.
PCC debuted in Unix Version 7 and replaced the DMR compiler (Dennis Ritchie's
original C compiler) in both System V and the BSD 4.x releases. Some history
about pcc is in the A History of UNIX before Berkeley: UNIX Evolution:
1975-1984 and in the Evolution of C.
About 50% of the frontend code and 80% of the backend code has been rewritten.
Most stuff is written by Anders Magnusson, with the exception of the data-flow
analysis part and the SSA conversion code which is written by Peter A Jonsson,
and the Mips port that were written as part of a project by undergraduate
students at Luleå University of Technology (LTU).
Caution: the compiler is still undergoing heavy development.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
Update to newest cvs snapshot. x86_64 should work now.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This update can be installed with the "yum" update programs. Use
su -c 'yum update pcc' at the command line.

Fedora EPEL 5 Update: perl-Pod-Eventual-0.093330-1.el5
by updates@fedoraproject.org
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fedora EPEL Update Notification
FEDORA-EPEL-2010-3688
2010-11-19 17:46:40
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : perl-Pod-Eventual
Product : Fedora EPEL 5
Version : 0.093330
Release : 1.el5
URL : http://search.cpan.org/dist/Pod-Eventual/
Summary : Read a POD document as a series of trivial events
Description :
POD is a pretty simple format to write, but it can be a big pain to deal
with reading it and doing anything useful with it. Most existing POD
parsers care about semantics, like whether a =item occurred after an
=over but before a back, figuring out how to link a L<>, and other things
like that.
Pod::Eventual is much less ambitious and much more stupid. Fortunately, stupid
is often better. (That's what I keep telling myself, anyway.)
Pod::Eventual reads line-based input and produces events describing each POD
paragraph or directive it finds. Once complete events are immediately passed to
the handle_event method. This method should be implemented by Pod::Eventual
subclasses. If it isn't, Pod::Eventual's own handle_event will be called, and
will raise an exception.
