Dear All

I have configured EPEL local repository in my network. Other clients get packages from central repo. I need a package named monit with version 5.2 to connect m/monit server. EPEL repo have the older version 5.1. I can manually download the 5.2 and it works fine. How can I update this package in my central EPEL repo so that client systems could get the latest version?

Please help.

Hi there are multiple ways to deal with this. The long term fix to get it working for everyone is as Paul Howarth wrote and file a ticket in bugzilla.

The monit package is owned by user firewing1 (Stewat Adams). You can contact him from https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Firewing

The short term fix would be to create your own repository with the packages you need and add that to the systems you are administrating. I find that this is useful in cases where you need to have patches which upstream aren't going to use or you need to custom build a package. A good howto on doing this is at http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/CreateLocalRepos
