Packages in the EPEL-8 repository are volunteered by Fedora packagers
via requests by interested users.
If a package you are looking for is not there, please look at
https://bugzilla.redhat.com and see if a request has been opened for
your package to be built in EPEL-8.
If it hasn't please open a new ticket.
Some packages may not be able to built in EPEL-8 due to missing deps
which need to be added.

That is the official way to get packages into EPEL 8.
Looks like the owner has already started work on it, but it's still
good to get a bugzilla if there isn't one.  I tend to prioritize what
packages I do based on if they have a bugzilla or not.

To be clear, I am a Fedora packager and have supported multiple packages in epel-6. So my first inclination was not to file a bug for someone else to do the work. But agreed that the process should be followed.
