I've been having a really hard time updating qt6-qtwebenine in epel9.
First is was ffmpeg, now it's RHEL9 having too old of libraries.
Meanwhile, the CVE's for the version in epel9 have been piling up so I
believe it has the most CVE's of any epel package.
It's also preventing the updating of the rest of the qt6 stack.
I'd like to retire qt6-qtwebengine from epel9.[1]
This will affect the following packages.
qt6-qtwebview
- It will need to be retired as well
qt-creator
- I'm not positive if it can built, but with some options taken out, it
might.
root
- It should rebuild, but won't have root-gui-qt6webdisplay
zeal
- It might possibly build without qt6-qtwebengine, I don't know
I'd like the opinion of the root, zeal, and qt-creator maintainers.
Troy
[1] - I don't think I should have put it in epel9 at all.
