Things do definitely not look hopeless: there was a communications
screwup and nobody had actually talked to the legal dept at all
(everyone was deadlocked waiting for someone else). Given that numerous
people in the same dept are Fedora maintainers of long standing, I'm
reasonably certain that I will be allowed to sign the thing soon!
