I believe that glibc has recently fixed the m68k implementation not to
produce that warning. (AIUI it was only a combination of mediocre macros
and imperfect compilers that made it emit that warning, and there was no
actual danger of incorrect code.)
I made the change on the portable branch, which is the only place we put
workarounds for crappy environments.
