A screenshot showing the problem
Description of problem:
When using Eclipse on F30, the following behavior is experienced:
If the Package Explorer view is open, with a Java project open, and you expand
the src tree to view packages, and then grab the vertical divider that
separates the Editor area from the Package Explorer area, and drag it to the
left, so that the Editor now covers space previously used to render the Package
explorer, when you release the mouse button, the text from the Package Explorer
view is *still* being rendered and overlaps into the Editor. It's not just a
left-behind artifact of rendered text either... if you go and collapse the src
tree in the Package Explorer, and then click somewhere in the Editor pane that
was previously part of Package Explorer, the src tree is re-expanded and the
left-over text starts flickering and flashing in and out as you move the mouse
around, etc.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
F30 with latest updates as of 07-06-2019
Eclipse 06-2019
How reproducible:
Every time. I've tried on KDE (my default and where I first noticed it), as
well as Gnome and Gnome on X.org. The same behavior happens for all three.
Rebooting doesn't help either.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch Eclipse
2. Open a Java project, expand the src tree in Package Explorer
3. Drag the left edge of the Editor pane left to cover some of the area that
was previously used for the Package Explorer
4. Release the mouse button
Actual results:
1. Text is drawn in the wrong place, and focus does weird shit.
Expected results:
1. None of the above happens, and the windows are drawn properly without stray
text in the wrong place, and without focus wonkiness.
