Dear all,
You are kindly invited to the meeting:
DotNet IRC Meeting on 2017-02-28 from 19:00:00 to 20:00:00 UTC
At fedora-meeting(a)irc.freenode.net
The meeting will be about:
This meeting is for team members of the DotNet team. The weekly agenda is always posted on the DotNet [wiki page](https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/SIGs/DotNet), although it is subject to change depending on time and context of what is going around the Fedora Project.

Hello everyone,
My name is Amitosh Swain Mahapatra, and I would like to be a part of the
fedora-dotnet community.
I am a student, currently pursuing graduation in Computer Science. I've had
a great deal of experience with development with C# and intermediate
(mostly due to academic) experience F# on windows and Mono. I've done
freelance projects on ASP.NET and contributed to a couple of open-source
dotnet libraries. Besides, I'm also experienced in programming in NodeJS
and Python, and actively contribute to a few open-source NodeJS projects
too. I've been using Fedora for more than 5 years, and have experience in
managing CentOS and Ubuntu servers. I have a good understanding of Linux -
it's libraries and workings and also have done a fair amount of programming
involving them.
I want to contribute towards packaging & availability of dotnet core in
Fedora, so that it is more readily available. I'll also be happy to
maintain any dotnet libraries for Linux, if they seek maintainers.
Thank You,
Amitosh Swain Mahapatra
My name is Bryan Teague, and I would be grateful for the opportunity
to participate within the dotnet group.
I’ve had a great deal of experience developing applications through
Visual Studio. In addition, I’ve been using various Linux
distributions for over a year, and continually find myself gravitating
back to Fedora.
Contributing to Fedora OS will be a new experience for me.
I have background experience developing web, desktop, mobile phone,
and tablet applications. All of these have been completed using C#,
html, CSS, javascript, XML. I understand the various components to C#
and ASP.NET, such as Object-Oriented Design, Windows and ASP.NET
Forms, methods and event handling, working with data sources and
datasets, etc.
To throw in, I’ve also developed applications in VB, Java, as well as
a bit of tinkering with C / Assembly / Kernel and OS development.
I believe I’d be a great asset to dotnet, as I have in-depth
experience working in both Linux and Microsoft / Visual Studio
environments.
The only assistance I would need to get started is understanding where
the need is.
My IRC handle is bt_003
Thanks again.
Bryan
PS. I am also interested in participating in Google Code of Summer
2017. I’ve written to bex about Atomic Project, though I think I’m
more interested and suited towards working on dotnet Idea #1. Has any
other students expressed an interest?
