Interesting blog post! Alas, following the link trail gets to an evaluation of opensource code of conduct, and Fedora doesn't particularly shine in that list:
http://geekfeminism.wikia.com/wiki/Code_of_conduct_evaluations
(fwiw - didn't evaluate the accuracy of that list, just noted where Fedora showed up).

Hi SandraFYI, I am a grandfather. For the forums that I frequent, (Fedora, and various others), we don't tolerate abusive or sexist language. These forums have rules posted, that must be read as a condition of joining the forum. When such activities have occurred, a warning is issued to the offender, and there is no second or third chance given. That individual is blacklisted. His offending postings are purged. In general, 99.9% of "Linux" users are polite and respectful. Its the forum's admin to enforce civility. Regards Leslie Mr. Leslie Satenstein Montréal Québec, Canada

That *is* interesting. If the table is valid, it should probably get pushed up to the Council; although some of the parameters lean towards examples, which seem to be deliberately avoided. I assume that's because examples could be construed as policy, but there is probably room for tact.

Well (sry for the top post lol) I understand a lot of FOSS developers are volunteers and understand the frustration of so many who are newcomers, including myself. I try to post smart questions but a lot of times it's spew because I think I have dyslexia.
Thanks for the response,
