Manpages are the responsibility of the maintainer of the packages that include them, while Fedora Docs primarily produces the content at docs.fedoraproject.org . You'll get the best insight from devel@lists.fedoraproject.org .
That said, I can't forsee any issues with this change. You may want to file bugs against affected packages to make sure maintainers are directly notified, and for tracking purposes. Usually any upstream changes are pulled in when a package is updated, but if needed, a poke via bz can help things along.
