But seriously, that's exactly the point I was trying to make. It isn't a
drop-in replacement. It behaves differently in many ways, and nobody likes
surprises from their operating system. If you can read the docs first, less
surprises.

p.s. -obligatory grumble about top posting on lists...
I do plan to migrate my scripts from yum to dnf fairly soon - as soon
as I figure out how to suppress document installs with dnf in a Docker
image. So you'll be getting dnf bug reports if anything breaks in
remixes or Docker images.
