Hi Everyone, I'm looking at getting involved in the project as I have been a long time user of Fedora (e.g. since Core 1) and would like to start contributing. My name is Ryan, I'm from Western Australia (GMT+8). I am an IT technician and have been using linux as a hobby since 2k4 (using RH9). I have also had the opportunity to work with RHEL in my job during a project as well as having worked with a couple of other distros. In my line of work I have often needed to produce documentation to a professional standard and I feel I can contribute this way currently. With live storage migration [...]". But in the last paragraph of the page, right before the note, it is stated that "Shared, networked storage must be used for storing guest images to be migrated. Without shared storage, migration is not possible." These two statements seem contradictory to me. I just started learning about virtualization, so I am unable to propose an alternative. Dear All, My name is Bara Ančincová and I'm from Czech republic. I've started using Linux five years ago (Ubuntu), now I run Fedora on my work and home laptop. And well, this is my way how to thank the Fedora community for really nice experience I have with this distribution. Regarding computer skills, I'm familiar with basic administration of Fedora, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and Ubuntu. In addition, I use git, DockBook, and Publican on a daily basis at work. I had some introduction to programming using bash and Python. I work as a technical writer in Red Hat and mainly contribute to the SELinux guide and to the Installation guide. So I could start helping with these two :) The only thing is, that at this time, I'm a little bit busy with writing my master thesis, so I will be able to dedicate more time to Fedora when I finish it (hopefully in April/May). I am on the debian publicity team, and help with a monthly news-letter about issues, news, events, etc that comes out every month. Fedora Docs OT guidelines, please!

Hey Tom, Can you provide some general legal-type guidelines on mentioning not-Fedora topics in Fedora Docs? I've learned that we shouldn't directly guide users to third party repos, but there's a lot of room for potential conflict. Lately, I've been woorking on a multiboot guide and wondering what would be considered permissible. For example, I'd like to explain how to disable Windows' "fast reboot" feature to allow Fedora users to mount an NTFS volume safely. I'd also like to explain how to add Windows or some other OS to GRUB manually, or to a system's firmware boot options with `uefibootmgr`. There's varying degrees of foreignness there, and the list certainly isn't exhaustive - just some token examples. It would be good to have some general guidelines to follow going forward. Hello all, My name is Darrenn Jackson. I've been a Linux user since 2002 since I installed Red Hat 9 alongside WinME on my Dell Laptop in college. One of the main reasons I first chose Red Hat and stayed with Fedora was the strength of it's available documentation. I learned a lot from the RH9 docs. I've used Fedora as my Linux of choice for all my main systems, save for my Raspberry Pi. I've also used Knoppix, OpenSuse, and FreeNAS. I have a BA in Creative Writing (Nonfiction), hold both a (barely) current A+ and Linux+, know quite a bit of python. This is my first open source project I've ever joined as a contributor, save for correcting a few errors of the example yum.conf that the fedorafaq.org site provided. I look forward to learning a lot more about Fedora while contributing to its success!
