"as root" seems redundant. One can *only* install the package as root so "as root" is already a given.

Why is it not recommended (and always check your spelling) to use a Yubikey without a password? If we're going to add a sentence in like this it should either be an admon or we need to talk about it more. In this case I think we should talk about it more.

Any site could have deceptive advertisements. Personally, I despise them,
and I can understand your frustration after falling into their trap.
However, the site isn't quite responsible for the advertising selection.
Usually a webmaster allows an ad service a given area of the page, and the
ads are selected based on a combination of what that service knows about
the site, and what the service knows about *you*. I see a completely
different ad there, and you have a good chance of encountering the same
troublesome ad at millions of other websites.
The best guidance I can give you is to be cautious when browsing. You can
use ad blocking browser extensions, do-not-track headers, etc to make that
easier, but we will never completely sanitize the internet of risk.
That said, I've done some hashing for $dayjob recently using native
PowerShell capabilities, and will look into adding instructions for that to
the installation guide.

multiboot draft
by Leslie S Satenstein
I am including a public link
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/42050559/Grub%20Multiboot%20Edited.pdf
to the draft pdf version that I edited against the original that is on the web page for multiboot
My version is a touchup of that very good first draft.
It is an easier task to write with a tool like Libreoffice writer, and have a peer review your writing, with a back/forth checks. As well, LibreOffice writer includes a spell checker, resulting in fewer errors for a draft document.
By using LibreOffice writer, we can get more done in less time, and following updates and a peer review we can have a good quality document to migrate to docbook.
I do not believe that the entire writing should be done within docbook.
If any of you would like me to edit review your writing for spelling and grammar, and to provide editing remarks, I will be happy to oblige. Send me a link
Regarding the multi-boot write-up, the author omitted two topics. The role of os-prober and in some cases, a disk mapping file. The latter is found in /boot/grub2. Typical contents are:
cat /boot/grub2/device.map
# this device map was generated by anaconda
(hd0) /dev/sde

Beats Conversion
by Pete Travis
The time has come to convert the beats on the wiki[1] into docbook and
commit them into release-notes.git . Participation from anyone in
docs-writers would be appreciated.
When you begin migrating a beat, begin by changing the wiki header from
{{Docs_beat_open}} to {{Docs_beat_closed}} . This will signal to other
writers that someone is working on it, and let potential contributors
know we are done trawling that wiki page for new content. The Beats
Category page also has a progress table to mark completion - but for
best results, if you start converting a wiki page, please see it
through. The structure definitely won't match the layout of the Beats
pages when we're done, so finding half-finished beats isn't straightforward.
Please also take the opportunity to verify, correct, and improve the
content. I think a release note best serves the reader when it covers
the following points, however briefly:
- What is the software's function?
- How has that function changed?
- How does the user experience the software or new capability (ie
example commands, installation instructions)
- Where can the user find more information about the software?
(Upstream sites, manpages, etc. Basically, cite your references)
Since potentially many of us could be working on this, communication
will be important. Remember to pull before you start, and keep in sync
by committing often, and performing push/pull after every commit. I
intend to be in #fedora-docs whenever working on it, and I've filed a
ticket[3] asking infra to announce our commits in the channel.
When we're done with the migration, Self-contained Changes are next, and
that's not a trivial effort, so let's knock it out quickly.

OLF FAD, anyone?
by Ruth Suehle
Ohio LinuxFest is offering us some space for a FAD, which I believe the
Docs team has done in the past. Free space, listing in the schedule. We
might have to pay for internet. Let me know if you're interested in trying
to set something up.
