Weren't we going to disestablish the Deployment Guide List? I don't think anyone is using it. If no one has any objects I'll put in a ticket to have it removed.

Congrats on Fedora 15 Alpha release docs
by Rahul Sundaram
Hi
Thanks to everyone who contributed. In the earlier releases when I
haven't had the time to contribute, I would always feel that I should
have stepped in and tweaked a whole lot of things. This is the first
time that I haven't felt any real need to do so. The Alpha announcement
and release notes describe all the major changes and do it a great way.

Open Help Conference
by Shaun McCance
Hi folks,
This has been mentioned a few times on IRC, but I don't think
it's been talked about on the mailing list.
I'm organizing the Open Help Conference this June. This is a
gathering of documentation and support people from open source
and other community-based projects.
http://openhelpconference.com/
I would love to have some Fedora people at the conference to
share your experiences. You all have a vibrant documentation
community, and I think we could all learn from that. At the
same time, there will be documentation people there from
various projects that get packaged in Fedora, and you can
get a better sense of what they're doing.
I also want to mention that there are still rooms available
for team sprints after the conference. So if multiple Fedora
people would like to take advantage of the conference to get
some face-to-face collaboration, we can make that happen.
And of course, if you know people from other projects that
might be interested, I'd appreciate it if you passed the
word. I know how things work in Gnome. I want to see how
the rest of the free world helps their users.
Thanks,
Shaun

Self Introduction
by Michael Elliott
Hi all,
My name is Michael. I come from New Zealand but am currently living in
China.
* What other projects or writing have you worked on in the past?
I have one years experience as a technical writer, have worked as an
English teacher here in China, and have also been involved with writing
knowledge base articles in another job I had.
* What level and type of computer skills do you have?
I have over 10 years experience in the IT industry, mostly in technical
/ customer / product support, but also one's years experience in
technical writing as mentioned above. I would consider myself a jack of
all trades, master of none. I know a little bit about a wide variety of
technologies, but don't know any one thing deeply.
* What other skills do you have that might be applicable? User
interface design, other so-called soft skills (people skills),
programming, etc.
N/A
* What makes you an excellent match for the project?
Even though I have used Linux for a few years, I would still consider
myself at the beginner end of the skill range. This, along with the
fact that I live in a foreign country with a different language, gives
me good insight in how to explain things in an easier way, more suitable
for beginners.
I am not currently working (am a student), so I have a lot of free time
currently. I will be starting a new job in the coming weeks (hopefully,
dependent on a background check), but as a potential winner of the
'World's most boring man' competition, I will still have time to
contribute to this project.
I am also very patient, and understand that it will take time to learn
how things work in the team, and how best I can contribute to the team,
and to the Linux community as a whole.

Robyn Bergeron is the Program Manager, she should be able to schedule
this and ensure that all interested parties are invited.
