Docs QA procedure
by Ben Cotton
Docs team,
At the last meeting, we seemed to come to an agreement on the
procedure. I've captured the refinements we discussed[0], Please point
out any glaring flawsyou see. Let's use this procedure for the F17
cycle and then we can see where we need to improve the process.
Don't forget that we're doing QA by committee for many of the docs, so
if you want to participate in QA, please sign up for the docs-qa
mailing list[1]

Hello I'd like to contribute to writing some docs.
I'm a Systems Administrator, Redhat user since 4.0. Most comfortable with
Redhat & similar, but with experience of most popular distributions, and
other OSes, networking etc.
Please let me know how to go about finding something to write!
Thanks

"Hello World"
by Amit Digit
Greetings Everyone,
I would like to volunteer and be part of fedora project. I have been using
linux for sometime now and would like to be a part of the community not
just as passive user but also as an active contributor. I worked as
associate system engineer/administrator and recently completed my redhat
certification ie RHCE on version 6.0 hence I hope that I will be able to
contribute in infrastructure team.I can at the moment spend about 10 hours
or about 2 hours a day on volunteer work for fedora project. Another reason
why I want to work as volunteer is that it will help me understand the how
such projects are carried out, I would be able to learn more about over all
linux systems. I have worked at L1 level of system administration and also
done some documentation work. I have completed the following primary steps
incase of any discrepancies would hope to be guided accordingly.
# I have completed registration on Fedora portal and registered my account.
My Login id is : *technocratamit*
# I have filled and signed the FPCA forum
# I have also registered my nickname on Freenode IRC Network. My IRC Handle
is : *lonewolf8*
# I have subscribed to the docs mailing list.
I found a link on docs wiki which seems to be unassigned, I am ready to
work on that. Here is the task which I am refering to...

Please feel free to ask incase you need any more details. Looking forward
to contribute and working along side fellow linux lovers. One more thing....
********************************************************Merry Christmas &
Happy New Year 2012

Gotcha!
I didn't know that you were the guide owner (or at least commiter), sorry.
Ok, If you've set your .tx/config file correctly (you could check in other
guides, I agree the wiki page that you gave should be updated), and if your
~/.transifexrc config file is set (with your transifex user/password, see [1]),
and that you have transifex-client installed
then by "tx push -s" the POT would be pushed to transifex.
An other mandatory detail is that your transifex account is set as maintainer
is the transifex.net resource.
Please come by irc if you need help (I won't be there for at least the next 6h
but I am sure that there would be available people that could help you).
