Rudi,
You had said earlier you were working on providing a non-JS fallback
for the docs.fp.o site. Whether that's through the Publican publish
feature or an interim change, will this be in place in time for F13
GA?

Hello:
I am a Canadian university student who would like to take part in the
Fedora Summer Coding process. My academic background is in Music, but I
have taken some courses in Compuer Science. My idea is to write a guide
for musicians using Fedora (see the idea page here:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Summer_Coding_2010_ideas_-_Fedora_Musicians'_Guide).
The idea, basically, is to get people started with the various programs
available in Fedora and Planet CCRMA. The idea page is far from a
complete project, so any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. What
I need now is a mentor to guide me through the project! Ideally, that
task would be split between people from the Docs SIG, and the music
community.
As before, any comments will be helpful - thank you for reviewing this
project.
Christopher Antila.
N.B. I posted this to the docs, music, and summer-coding-discuss lists
to get what seems like the widest applicable audience
Thanks, Ian.

Hi Josef,
Thanks for your note! We brought in all the changes that were current
as of 2010-05-04 around 0030 UTC, which is about 8:30pm US-EDT. Your
translation was building and was included. I haven't had a chance to
publish anything on the drafts site, but you just gave me an excellent
reminder to do it quickly, so thanks. I'll get the site updated by
tomorrow.
The translations included were cs-CZ, es-ES, fr-FR, it-IT, nl-NL,
pl-PL, pt-PT, sv-SE, uk-UA, and zh-CN. These were all 100% done
according to publican's lang_stats command. There was at least one
more, ru-RU, which was around 88% and if it, or any other languages,
are complete by release day we can likely publish updated zero-day
copies.

11:12 < quaid> ok, here's a thought ...
11:12 < quaid> long tradition is that 'docs' gave full commit access
to content; I see people still do
that with f'hosted repos
11:12 < quaid> (mostly)
11:13 < quaid> we had publishing separate because it was different,
separate, required training to not
break, etc.
11:13 < quaid> but if we're going to be publishing websites with
publican as the cms (basically)
11:13 < quaid> why not just use 'docs' group as who can publish?
What I was also saying is that we have this:
CMS for docs.fp.o:
* Publican handles publishing and building of content for the web.
* FAS handles authentication.
* Beacon with DocBook extensions could be the wysiwyg editor.
'docs' group membership could be sufficient for publishing. Why add
another group when we have one well populated with all the people we
want able to publish immediately?
This lowers the barriers a lot for using Publican, but it doesn't give
us a CMS that invites the 10x participation that we get through the
wiki-like interfaces. Having an easy web authentication layer with a
nice WYSIWYG editor (and a publish button) is a very important goal.

Hi Docs and L10n teams,
I just wanted to confirm that fedora-release-notes-13-3.fc13 was
accepted into Fedora 13's stable repository and should be appearing in
the GA product. It sports a brand-new icon consistent with the look
and feel of the icon theme, and includes not five, not eight,
but... *10* fully translated versions of the release notes.
Thanks to all the Docs people who worked on tools and processes to
make sure we were ready to package, and to L10n folks for their usual
AMAZING job providing translations for users around the world!
