Hi,
I would like to update libinfinity to 0.6.1 where possible. I prepared a copr build at: https://copr.fedoraproject.org/coprs/till/gobby05/
I did not yet test whether the gedit or kte plugins rebuild properly, but I will do so before updating Rawhide.
Regards Till

So the dependencies do not build and do not seem to prepare for the libinfinity update:
https://gitorious.org/libqinfinity - latest commit May 2011 https://github.com/GNOME/gedit-collaboration/commits/master
So there are three possibilities: 1) Someone steps up to port the dependencies 2) We drop the dependencies from Fedora 3) We introduce a libinfinity05 compat package for the dependencies and update libinfinty afterwards
What are your opinions?

gedit-collaboration should probably be retired in F21+. It's largely unmaintained upstream and doesn't work with latest gedit anyway.
Nacho, any opinions?

If gedit-collaboration can be retired, we can move forward with this. If I get a go-ahead, I will do the retirement.

I just talked to nacho and apparently his reply to the mailing list got caught in moderation. He wanted to say that it's fine to retire gedit-collaboration until someone takes up the work upstream and makes it properly work again.
It's now retired in both F21 and master. Feel free to go ahead with the libinfinity builds.

thank you.
Rex, I prepared a new build for libqinfinity in the master branch, if you point me to the SRPMs you would like to use for kte-collaborative and liqinfinity, I can update them, too, and build all together. Or if you like you can build libinfinity and the other packages. Would you agree to update F21 as well?

I've libqinfinity handy, https://rdieter.fedorapeople.org/rpms/libqinfinity/
but looks like I may have left the kte-collaborative stuff on a different laptop. (I'll try to dig it up later today or tomorrow).
Would you agree to update F21 as well?
Good question, I'll see if can test this stuff more and ask others to share their opinions as well.

I can't find my test kdte-collaborative build, but don't let that stop you, I'll just make a fresh snapshot when needed.

OK, I asked around and seems the consensus is that this is safe/ok for F21.

kte-collaborative now needs to be updated in Rawhide. I forgot to build libqinfinity for F21, but it is building now.
Btw. strigi is currently orphaned in all Fedora branches but seems to be a critical KDE dependency: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/pkgdb/package/strigi/
