Can you give some info on the actual output ?
Attached to this email I send the output from Kernel Panic. I got the
Kernel Panic message
running the last Kernel 2.6.1-1.63 on Athlon64 system. Unfortunately I
can't get the error messege from my
dual Opteron system because at present it has the serial ports not
functioning :-((
Moreover running Kernel 2.6.1-1.47 i have to disable the on-board
firewire controller (on Asus K8V) because otherwise
the system locks during boot when (kudzu) it makes a check for new hardware.

how much older ? There have been almost daily updates recently.
