I don't think it does, no. I'm a Red Hat employee, a Fedora user, but
also a GNOME developer. I'm not terribly keen pushing the tenet of
"GNOME Software doesn't show MATE applications when running in GNOME"
to "GNOME Software isn't suitable for Fedora Workstation".

Why did you a pull request to add a appdata file in mate upstream and waste other
developers time?
On the other side why you classify mate as a non compatible desktop?
