Hi,
I've filed this bug [1] in scotch nearly one month ago, the issue being that the scotch libraries are under-linked and have undefined symbols. A tentative patch is attached in the BZ. Since this is a blocker for the salome packaging, I'd like to see this resolved.
Attempts to contact deji (both via bugzilla as well as as directly via email) have failed. Anyone knows how to reach him?
Thanks, Sandro
Hi,
Given that Deji Akingunola is maintainer of a couple of high-profile packages, I'd like to double-check whether really no-one knows how to reach him. The packages he is maintainer for are:
atlas babl bibletime cln clucene exaile exempi galternatives gegl gparted grads libctl libibverbs libmlx4 libmthca libqalculate mpich mpich2 nautilus-actions ncview netcdf o3read qalculate-gtk qalculate-kde scotch screenruler strigi sword texmaker tokyocabinet tracker xcompmgr xesam-tools xiphos zeitgeist zeitgeist-datahub
Thanks, Sandro
Hi,
Given that no-one seems to know how to contact deji, I'd like to request the takeover of scotch.
Thanks, Sandro

Hi.
In the past Deji always responded after a few weeks (and maybe some severe threats).
Losing his packages would be extremely unlucky. If it comes to orphaning, I will take care of atlas.

My opinion is, you should only comaintain what you want, not take over other's packages.
If FESCo member could give consent of adding someone as an admin(not the point of the contact) of a package instead of orphaning lots of packages, that will be helpful.
Thanks.

The plan is to orphan the packages, but leave the old point of contact with acls. That way someone active can take over the package, but if the old point of contact comes back they can just join right back in.
This way the package gets active folks caring for it and the former point of contact can come back anytime.

Sorry for the long delay here. ;( There was a issue with the pkgdb2 api to do this, then I was traveling, etc.
It's now been done.
The following packages are looking for a new point of contact on at least one branch:
(Note that many of them have co-maintainers, so do check with them to see if any of them would like to become the new point of contact):
atlas babl bibletime cln clucene exaile exempi galternatives gegl gparted grads libctl libibverbs libmlx4 libmthca libqalculate mpich mpich2 nautilus-actions ncview netcdf o3read qalculate-gtk qalculate-kde scotch screenruler strigi sword texmaker tokyocabinet tracker wiggle xcompmgr xesam-tools xiphos zeitgeist zeitgeist-datahub

I have taken
* texmaker * gparted * libqalculate * qalculate-gtk
since I use these practically everyday.
Co-maintainers welcome.

I've taken:
ncview netcdf
I've been the primary maintainer of netcdf for a long time now. Co-maintainers welcome as always.
