Somehow, somewhen, I wound up as the main contact for the 'ddclient' package though I never intended to and know nothing at all about it. I've noticed this a couple of times before and I guess I looked up why but I forgot again and I'm sick of it, I don't want this package and I don't want its bugs. I just orphaned it. Anyone who wants it can pick it up.

Is there anything particularly bad about it or is just a stray puppy that has somehow "adopted" you? I only ask because I use/depend on it but am amenable to using something else that's known to be better... and would need to do so if nobody else picks it up.

I adopted it. Working on updating it to the latest release.

Nothing I know of. I just don't use it and don't know anything about it. I think I got mistakenly assigned point-of-contact when I was trying to help someone else pick it up a year or so back, or something.

Okay, thanks for the follow up. It was a little hard to judge the tone of your message where the frustration (if any) was directed, the package specifically or duty. The message seemed uncharacteristic of your usual style, almost as if it was piped through the having_a_bad_day filter. Glad to hear that the package is alright overall ... and if you were having a bad day, I hope things are better now. :-)
