I get a kernel panic when I boot up into the preupgrade. It seems like this could be the lack of hard drive space left. does this sound accurate?

Hi,

Is it possible to upgrade now from F16 to F17 with preupgrade?

Has anyone tried to preupgrade from F16 to F17? Are there any problems
related to UsrMove (or anything else)?

For those of us who have let our command-line skills wane slightly, what is
the command for preupgrade, if this is how it is accomplished?

# yum install preupgrade
$ preupgrade

However, one pre-upgrade bug that may prevent you installing and is
not on the blockers list:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=813973
"Preupgrade fails to build proper squashfs.img URL on boot with small
boot partitions"
Not apparent till you've downloaded all packages and rebooted into the
installer.
Yes, I also seen it yesterday in update process.
Also it does not try other mirrors if current not in sync (and ignore fastestmirror yum plugin option) and what I think more critical it crashes in i18n environment:
