I've been talking internally about this. The idea is for pkcon and
GNOME Software to have a superficial view of what modules are, but not
to actually expose all the nitty-gritty detail. It's on my radar to
make this work correctly.
I think I said this elsewhere in this thread, but it doesn't hurt to
repeat. :) I think this generally makes sense, because I don't expect
modules to be the primary means through which users select different
streams of graphical applications. For that kind of thing, Flatpak (or,
Neal, Snaps) make sense. And GNOME Software only does GUI apps anyway.
