Yes. I also tried changing the bus latency for the different "cards" in
the laptop using setpci. No change. I could get better overall
performance (ie: the screen would update faster with the xrun
information :-)
This is true in the non DRI case too. Several card designs can lock the
bus for considerable periods of time and there is nothing Linux can do
about these cases. In the Matrox case its configurable (see man mga)
I don't know about the others.
