guestfish on x86-64 was failing for me with something that looks a lot
like the same PLT problem. But it's not aarch64. Very easy to
reproduce, see:

Just for the record, I don't think that is the aarch64 plt thing.

That would show up as "Failed to update file: invalid section entry
size". I think this is a real LTO issue (both the aarch64 plt and zero
DWARF version weren't, just "normal" bugs in binutils as and binutils
ld, unrelated to LTO).
