We are not an Enterprise distribution, we need flexibility to do the
things we need to do to better the distribution.
But we are working on a distribution that is the base for an Enterprise
distribution that ships every 18 month afaik. So a strict six months
release schedule also a benefit for Red Hat afaics.
Some changes take
longer to implement than others. Being tied down to a strict 3 year
plan (or longer) does not fit well with what we need.
Things can be changed if necessary.
