Just switching them to ext2 would save a ton of IO. The buildroots
get regenerated every time anyway, so journalling isn't really getting
you anything. If a builder crashes, you probably want to throw the
old buildroot away and start over anyway.

I believe it is somewhere, the reference I had is completely out of
date. The current configuration would not be the configuration used in
primary arch but ultimately it was the best we could do with the
