Already done. Just grab a copy of pm-utils from CVS, or use my repo
(although this might break your video-post from resume as we've still
got to fix that properly in CVS).

Many asus laptop have special keys which generate acpi events. These
are not currently handled by Fedora, but there is a program calles
acpi_fakekeys that can be used to handle this. It is included in
Ubuntu (admin/acpi_support). Scripts are also included to map the
events in to standard keystrokes like volume up, volume down, mute
etc.
