I think my small patch to usermode to allow group-based auth-as-self (i.e.
admin users don't need root password, but still need to reenter their own)
fits nicely with some of the goals expressed. (Makes sense for
systrem-config-date, for example.) So I'll take this moment to plug it
again. :)
