Well, you know as well as me that this kind of thing can change once the
number of users has shrunk drastically.
RHEL and Fedora are from the same code base, so they're
both equally affected or non-affected. What is different
perhaps, is how people _use_ each OS.
Whatever we change in Fedora, will end up becoming "the
new way things work" in the next RHEL release. So whatever
solution is decided upon will affect both Fedora Core 6
and RHEL-$next-generation users/customers equally.
Methinks the fact we've just passed a FC -> RHEL sync point explains
part of your timing
