On a systemd system /sbin/init is a symlink to /bin/systemd.

$ rpm -qf /sbin/init
systemd-24-1.fc15.x86_64
$ ls -l /sbin/init
lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 14  6. Apr 22:02 /sbin/init -> ../bin/systemd*
