sure I understand the question, but perhaps you mean why don't
I like KDE? I don't have any dislike for KDE. I was simply
suggesting
using another DE as a troubleshooting measure. Sometimes
breakage is
confined to a particular one and switching to another will allow
you to
work around or better troubleshoot the breakage.
If you are running rawhide, IMHO, it's always a good idea to
have
several DE's installed and ready to run for this reason.
