rpmdistro-gitoverlay *replaces* koji, it isn't something you can
use
on a "traditional package".
Thanks, this was one of the missing pieces for me :) It would help to
expand this out in that document.
Anyways, it's pretty simple, rpmdistro-gitoverlay does a
recursive
git mirror in to src/ - and recursive here includes submodules, for
exactly the reason you raised. A number of important real-world
modules use them (including ostree/rpm-ostree).
I see, so it's dynamically re-writing the .gitmodules file(s) on each build?
