So this one has caused us trouble.
virt-dib depends on debootstrap (a Debian tool for installing
chroots), and debootstrap obviously depends quite fundamentally on
dpkg.
Apparently virt-dib doesn't fundamentally depend on debootstrap so the
dependency might be removed or downgraded to Recommends/Suggests.
Question:
libguestfs (maintained by: mdbooth, ptoscano, rjones)
libguestfs-1.39.8-1.fc29.src requires debootstrap = 1.0.102-1.fc29
virt-dib-1.39.8-1.fc29.i686 requires debootstrap = 1.0.102-1.fc29
If we change this from a hard requires to a Recommends or Suggests
will that get around the immediate issue?
Of course I understand that it won't provide a maintainer for dpkg,
but will it stop libguestfs from being blocked?
