building usb into kernels seems like a good way to break all laptops.
since many of them won't sleep without removing the usb moudles.
the fact that usb currently has a broken resume method doesn't mean that
it shouldn't in principle be built into the kernel.
In fact, I suspect that by having a workaround available fewer people
report that bug to the USB people resulting in it never getting fixed...
