It looks like linux/compiler.h was used (abused?) to detect the difference
between a Linux 2.4 and 2.6 system, at least at arrayprobe.
I would argue that an application that tries to detect 2.4 vs 2.6 at
compiletime is broken by design... (since.. who knows what kernel you
will be running on...)
