Looking at the upstream [0], it says "An obsolete library. Don't use it in new projects."


So we should probably decide what to do with it. I would be willing to pick it up, but since it won't see any new development according to upstream, we should "do the right thing".

3306 packages depend on this via rsyslog (and perl) or syslog-ng. Are
there plans to drop support for mongodb in the logging daemons or is
there someone willing to adopt libmongo-client?
