kpowersave you will need to patch in the dbus bindings  look at how i did it
with knetworkmanager as an example.
What wireless card are you using?  i have 2 laptops one a Dell Inspiron 4150
with an intel 2200 based wireless card.  everything works flawlesly. my
second is a apple powerbook  and NetworkManager does not work with its
broadcom chipset period.  in FC-5 NetworkManager would attempt to connect but
failed in FC-6 it will not use the card  which uses the bcm43xx kernel
module.  i need to use wpa_supplicant and  ifup  on it.

Please try using nm-applet if it fails in both file a bug against
NetworkManager  if its only knetworkmanager  file a bug against it and i will
try and fix it for you.
